Respond to the following questions: 1. Does a person's aerobic capacity change with age? In what way? What factors might cause this change? 2. How does the blood pressure and pulse rate increase after exercise compare in people who are and are not physically fit? 3. What are the consequences of an inadequate delivery of oxygen to the heart?
(NOTE: Since the student have not mentioned the specific question to be answered, as per the code, only the first question will be answered. It is requested to kindly reroute back the remaining questions. Thanks.)
Aerobic capacity is the maximum amount of oxygen a body can consume during the exercise at the maximum intensity. It is denoted as "VO2 max". It is the product of the one's maximal cardiac output and a person's arterial-venous oxygen difference. VO2 is an indicator of an individual's cardio-respiratory fitness. It also means that the maximum amount of oxygen which an individual consumes per unit of time and delivers to peripheral organs, like skeletal muscles.
Not all humans have the same VO2 . Increase in VO2 in response to activity or training or exercise varies greatly from person to person.
