Generally, on going downward in a group electronegativity decreases with the increasing size of the atoms. A smaller atom attracts the shared electrons than the larger one, again when the size of the atom increases, the attraction between the nucleus and the valance shell electron decreases, and therefore electronegativity decreases in the same order.
