Probable causes for the drop could be as follow-

1. Anemia coexists with a high white blood cell count (a low red blood cell count). This occurs when a bone marrow disorder that generates an excess of white blood cells simultaneously results in an insufficient amount of red blood cells.

2. A lack of iron in your body results in anaemia. To produce haemoglobin, your bone marrow needs iron. Your body can't make enough haemoglobin for red blood cells without enough iron.
