  • H1-NMR:- When a nuclei in a precessional motion interacts with radiofrequency wave , then it feel a torque to change its spin. And when it precessional frequency becomes equal to the radiofrequency, then the nuclei from ground state, will go to higher spin energy state, resulting in NMR- signal.
  • And if this NMR signal is due to hydrogen atom, then it is known as H1-NMR.
  • Chemical shift:- It is the ratio of the difference in the frequencies of signal of the sample(vsample) greater than Tetramethylsilane(in Hz) and the instrument's frequency [vinstrument(in MHz)].
