Step 1
Classical conditioning was devised by Ivan Pavlov who used an experiment involving a dog to confirm the applicability of classical conditioning and he demonstrated that this type of conditioning is already prevalent in any case. According to this theory a behaviour is created when an automatic conditioned response is paired with a specific stimulus. Unconditioned stimulus is the entity that triggers the automatic response in the subject. Unconditioned response is the natural response that takes place when an unconditioned stimulus is experienced.
