Anne Hutchinson story and the Witches of Salem events in the Massachusetts bay Colony have similarities and have contrast which are pretty evident the State and Religion don’t always get along and they don’t think it’s equal for the People. Sometimes new is not only bad It can ruin a Plan for the Old to Reform transitioning into a more suitable situation. Anne Hutchinson story portrays a lady with a sound belief in Religion and ability to Teach and connect with the People while the Old World Puritans found it to be not right and need it out, it did not meet the Plans they had. The Puritans used the Law to remove the problem and False accusations. Which latter the Law started to remove themselves from being involved with Religion and the Conflict inside of it. The new world, New England Colonies eventually will adopt the multi religion. And for the Events of the Witches of Salem uncovered Religion and Puritan Religion clash and the Only way to remove people of Religion is to cause a difference between the people. The cause of the Witches is still unknown but it is suspect to Poisoning which it points to the Old World Puritans. The Law had difficult prosecuting the Witches so they Held them and when Mob rule voted to hang them they did. Furthermore, a contrast from them was a time frame Anne Hutchinson was in the 1600 – 1639 and the Witches was mid 1600’s to 1692. Lastly Witches of Salem differ from Anne Hutchinson story was the pure violence of it all, so much lives were lost. The Events of Salem and the Story of Anne Hutchinson are the Same having a religious Person brought to court for wrongful use of religion. the Act of a Religious person contributed to unlawfully detaining person and causing doubt among the Followers. Both Situation are based on the Growth of the European countries moving to another land. Also both story’s deal with the Original settlers (New England Colonies) changing a Belief in God and His teachings. In Conclusion, I would have to say The stories are close in topic but portrayed is different ways. Both stories paint a bad picture of the Ruling class, The Law, Reverends of the church.
