Many philosophical ideas given by intellectuals were spread among the public and it helped to develop the modern society of that time. Many rulers were also inspired by the philosophies of the Enlightenment. They were Frederick II of Prussia, Charles III of Spain, and Catherine the Great of Russia, to name a few.
