The company, NOP, is recently receiving a lot of customer complaints regarding defects in
their delivered products. The CEO of the company decided to sit in a meeting with the quality
assurance department to solve the problem. The head of the department shared that the
problem was that inspecting defects with human vision is not always accurate and workers also
get tired after working long hours. Hence, the CEO decided to introduce advanced technology
in the factory which will use visual sensors and image processing softwares to inspect potential
defects in products. To make things more efficient, the CEO also thought of using another kind
of advanced technology that will use a large display screen and gesture recognition devices so
that workers can first simulate assembling different parts of a product in the large display
screen before assembling them in real-life. The CEO added that this technology will also work
as a training platform for new workers.
