a response to the following paragraph in about 200 words the mention of race and inequality intrigued me the most. We all know that racial discrimination is a huge problem but the fact that in spite of knowing that discriminating against people on the basis of their physical characteristics, such as skin colour, etc., is wrong, we still do it and put up with it as well. For example, we all know how African-Americans are treated in North America, and yet we have it in ourselves to talk about right and wrong. These people are of a minority group and have been oppressed for years. They have been denied basic human decency on multiple occasions, and this does not seem like something which is going to change in the near future. Apart from that, treating people differently because of their social and economic background is another thing that astonished me because I was shocked at to how common this problem is discussed yet practised by most. Gender and Cultural discrimination has become so common nowadays that it has become more of a debate topic rather than a social concern. The kind of attitude, language and behaviour that people have against those whom they think are below them is something that is beyond me. They are judged not on the basis of their intelligence, skills or capabilities but on the basis of their colour, gender, cultural background, social status, etc, and the fact that is most astonishing is that how people turn a blind eye to all that and go on and about with their lives.
