Than initial momentum = momentum of wood + momentum of clay ball = 0.90u+0 ( as speed of the block us zero initially so its initial momentum= 0.
Final momentum of clay = 0.90×2.1
Final momentum of wooden block = 0.50×2.1
Total final momentum= (0.90+0.50)×2.1 = 1.4×2.1 = 3.04 kg m/s.
