A commercial company has a main branch located in Beirut with around 35 employees. The company is looking to expand its activities by opening 3 new branches in Lebanon. To facilitate information and data sharing, the company decided to implement a network in each branch, then to connect all the branches into a single network. Also, the new network will be based on giving employees the facility to use their laptops and smartphones in most of their operations. On the other hand, the company has a major problem with organizing its data. The human resource, finance, sales, and customer service departments have all developed separately their own systems and data files, which created a lot of redundancy and poor security. Managers can't have access to timely, accurate, or relevant information for analysis because the data have been poorly organized and maintained in separated files. The main concern for the company, regarding this problem, is to discover new and hidden patterns of customers' behavior to better adjust its marketing plan.
