When a single type of solution initially has a fix concentration and then we mix some amount of dilute water with it then there is a new volume and new concentration of that solution, which can be calculated by using following formula -
M1V1 = M2V2
Here , M1 = initial concentration of the solution (1.2 M NaCl)
M2 = final concentration (Molarity) of the solution (to be known)
V1 = initial volume of the solution (50 mL)
V2 = final volume of the solution (100 mL)
