4. Which of the following correctly ranks the species from weak est to strongest base? HF (K = 7.1 × 10-4) HCN (K HCIO2 (K = 1.2 × 10-2) NH4 (K = 5.6 X 10-10) %3D 6.2 X 10-10) ( < CIO2 < H2O < NO, (A) CN < NH3
Ionic Equilibrium
Chemical equilibrium and ionic equilibrium are two major concepts in chemistry. Ionic equilibrium deals with the equilibrium involved in an ionization process while chemical equilibrium deals with the equilibrium during a chemical change. Ionic equilibrium is established between the ions and unionized species in a system. Understanding the concept of ionic equilibrium is very important to answer the questions related to certain chemical reactions in chemistry.
Arrhenius Acid
Arrhenius acid act as a good electrolyte as it dissociates to its respective ions in the aqueous solutions. Keeping it similar to the general acid properties, Arrhenius acid also neutralizes bases and turns litmus paper into red.
Bronsted Lowry Base In Inorganic Chemistry
Bronsted-Lowry base in inorganic chemistry is any chemical substance that can accept a proton from the other chemical substance it is reacting with.
Please see the last answer. It is incomplete and did not list weakest to strongereat base. We would like to see how the teacher thinks. In our opinion the answer is D, because after you list it from weakest base to strongest base, water is still weaker at 1×10 to the -14th, and the ultimate weakest would be nitrate because that never goes the other way. Please don't charge me for a question as I have already been charged and the answer was incomplete. We want to confirm our logic as we think D is best . This is not a graded question as it is a practice question . I am 60 years old and helping my son prepare for the AP exam in a few months. We do questions at the back of the textbook by Zumdahl and Zumdahl
