But the tank is half field, means the tank is filled to a depth of 10 ft

Let, the density of liquid, ρ=60lb/ft3

We need to do some work so the we are able to pump out all the liquid out of the container to a height of h=2ft

But the container is 20 ft deep already.

Therefore we need to pump out all the water by, h=(20+2)ft=22ft
