     Heart is the major organ of the cardiovascular system. It is the mesodermally derived organ and it is situated in the thoracic cavity, in between the two lungs, slightly tilted to the left lung. The heart has four chambers. It includes two superior chambers, the right and left atria, and two inferior chambers, the right and left ventricles. There are several numbers of veins and arteries in the heart which carries different functions in the transportation of oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart, and then to the whole body, and carrying deoxygenated blood to the heart to be pumped from the heart to the lungs. There are numerous number of veins spread in different organs and parts of the body, mostly which carry deoxygenated blood from distant parts of the body to the heart.
