Step 1: Rules for determination of R and S configuration
Cahn Ingold Prelog rules:
1) Give the priority to the substituents attached at chirality center according to their atomic number.
2) If there are two substituents with equal rank, proceed along two substituent chain until there is point of difference and then give priority on that basis.
3) Start rotation from highest to lowest priority i.e. 1 to 4. If clockwise rotation then R and if anticlockwise rotation then S.
4) Exception: If the lowest priority group on wedge line or on horizontal line in Fischer projection then clockwise rotation means S and anticlockwise rotation means R
