Angles in Circles
Angles within a circle are feasible to create with the help of different properties of the circle such as radii, tangents, and chords. The radius is the distance from the center of the circle to the circumference of the circle. A tangent is a line made perpendicular to the radius through its endpoint placed on the circle as well as the line drawn at right angles to a tangent across the point of contact when the circle passes through the center of the circle. The chord is a line segment with its endpoints on the circle. A secant line or secant is the infinite extension of the chord.
Arcs in Circles
A circular arc is the arc of a circle formed by two distinct points. It is a section or segment of the circumference of a circle. A straight line passing through the center connecting the two distinct ends of the arc is termed a semi-circular arc.

#### Diagram Explanation:
The diagram consists of a circle with its center marked by a black dot. The circle is divided into four sectors by two lines intersecting at the center.
#### Notations:
- Points where the lines intersect the circumference are labeled D, E, F, G, and H.
- The arc between points E and F includes a segment with the expression \(11x + 2\) inscribed along it.
- Another segment within the circle contains the expression \(21x + 10\).
#### Purpose of the Diagram:
This diagram can be used to illustrate the properties of the circle and sectors, as well as to solve problems involving algebraic expressions related to the angles and arcs of a circle.
For example, by using the fact that the angles around the center sum to 360°, one can set up equations to solve for the value of \(x\), ensuring a deeper understanding of both geometry and algebra.](/v2/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcontent.bartleby.com%2Fqna-images%2Fquestion%2Fc68b4c2a-5e5a-4895-95e3-5d526c0d6550%2F6c9271de-10e9-4fd8-ae26-dd660f762251%2Fpmzxtp5_processed.jpeg&w=3840&q=75)
