The school was where the native savage-born infants were introduced to the civilized world and way of life. The school fills these people with loyalty and patriotism to the US and gives them a chance to move into the civilized communities of the Americans. The school also showed the natives they were not different from the white or the black people of the United States, and they also had the right to liberty and freedom. These were how the school achieved its task of assimilating and civilizing the native Americans. This way, Pratt wanted to kill the Native savage way of life and create a new civilized man.
