Expert Solution
Introduction

Many discoveries and inventions of the 17th century contributed to the creation of the Kinetoscope, the prototype camera and projector for motion pictures by William Dickson and Thomas Edison in 1891. In 1895, the Lumiere Brothers invented a lightweight projector. In December that year, the brothers held the first-ever commercial film screening. Meanwhile, the Edison Company improved on their projector to make Vitascope and held their first commercial film screening in 1896.
