Once all the needs are met then you will reach self- actualization 3. Explain in detail and give an example of the hierarchy of needs pyramid? - Safety and security require/ involves employment, stability, and property to reach the next level of loving and belonging 4 What is the basic principle of Albert Bandura’s theory of social learning? - Bandura’s principle of social learning is when humans learn from one another by observing others’ actions and the result of said actions. 5. Who is Nancy Schlossberg and what is she known for? - Nancy Schlossberg is a counseling psychologist, and she is known for finding the theory of transition. Where adults find that as they go through life, they learn new roles that cause changes to how they live. 6. What does the acronym VARK stand for? - Visual learners, Aural learners, Read/write learners, Kinesthetic learners - 7. Explain in detail each of the VARK learning styles inventory and give examples? - Visual learners learn through information and can use charts, graphs and symbols. Aural learners prefer to listen to information and can use lectures and read out loud. Read/ write learners prefer to read as words can follow along the textbook. Kinesthetic learners prefer to learn through experience or practice and can solve the problems on their own. 8.Who created the Myers‒Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)? - Isabel Briggs Myers 9. What does this inventory (Myers‒Briggs Type Indicator – MBTI) identifies and measures? - Shows how you perceive the world, make decisions, and get along with other people. - Extraversion- act on plan and do whatever it takes. Introversion- think in through, review everything. Sensing- get the facts and look for evidence. Intuition- get the ideas and look for facts being presented. Thinking- critically analyze and identify the gaps of evidence. Feeling- make informed value judgment. Judging- organize and plan. Perceiving- change your plan as needed 11. Explain in detail the eight MBTI Study Strategies? - Extraversion- Create note cards. Introversion- study independently. Sensing- use diagrams and outlines. Intuition- study in blocks of time. Thinking- focus on the logic of presented information. Feeling- find connections to material. Judging- studying in a organized environment. Who is Howard Gardner and what is he know for? - Howard Gardner’s theory is based on the idea that the traditional definition of human intelligence is extremely limited and argues students should be encouraged to develop the abilities they have, and an evaluation should measure all forms of intelligence. 13. How is attention disorders different from cognitive disorders? - Attention disorders affects the ability to focus and concentrate while cognitive affect developmental skills 18. Explain what does the acronym ADD and ADHD means? - ADD – attention deficit disorder. ADHD – attention deficit hyperactivity disorder 19. List four strategies for helping adults with ADD or ADHD stay organized. - Use to-do list to keep track of obligations, break down large task into smaller ones, ask for help and support when needed, and maintain a consistent routine. 20.
