The most common in my community is preventive patrol. I say this because Police are 40% patrolling most of the time. It is effective because it helps police eliminate opportunities of Suspicious crime behavior. 2. Explain what you believe community policing is and give three examples of how it is demonstrated in your community. I believe community policing is a philosophy that emphasizes community support for and cooperation with the police in preventing crime. The three examples of how it’s demonstrated in my community is it Promotes community partnerships, Community engagement, and, Proactive problem solving. 3. Research a recent incident involving police officers and the use of deadly force. How was the incident portrayed in the report or news report? A recent incident involving police officers and the use of deadly force is “ Racist Policing And Inappropriate Use Of Force: Aurora Police, Fire Rescue Routinely Violate State And Federal Law, AG Finds”. The incident was portrayed in the news report that “the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire and Rescue have repeatedly violated state and federal law with racist policing, illegal use of excessive force and inappropriate administration of ketamine, according to a damning 118-page report released Wednesday by state Attorney General Phil Weiser.” 4. Identify the three traditional forms of police corruption.The three traditional forms of police corruption is false reports and committing perjury, protecting illegal gambling. 5. Define the phrase ethical dilemma. Describe a recent event where you were faced with an ethical dilemma. How did you resolve the issues? Ethical dilemma is a situation in which law enforcement officers do not know the right course of action, Have difficulty doing what they consider to be right; and/or find the wrong choice very tempting. A recent event where I was faced with an ethical dilemma is where I had to make a choice between my school work or leaving to go out but I picked doing my school work.
