Dear Families, Greetings and welcome to our monthly Newsletter! We are delighted to be able to provide you with valuable information addressing the importance of play in the classroom. The development domain of cognitive, physical, language and emotional development growth for children among the age range of 12 and 24 months (about 2 years) will be the focus of the discussion today. The concept of cognitive, Physical, Language and emotional development reflects a child's capacity for thinking, understanding, and making sense of the world around them. It calls on skills like imagination, concentration, recall, and problem-solving. We want to draw attention to the critical role that plays in encouraging early learning and mental growth through picking these domain. Children's play is an essential part of their mental growth. Young children can experiment, investigate, and handle their surroundings through play, which helps them develop essential thinking skills. The two examples of how play is utilized to support mental development are the following: Pretend Play: Children can act out imaginary situations by pretend play, often referred to as imaginative play. Through playing the role of teachers, doctors, or making food, they improve their creativity, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Children can practice interactions with others, learn to take turns, and learn about various points of view through role-playing. Staking and Sorting: Sorting and stacking items is a valuable cognitive skill that promotes thinking, orientation, and grouping. Children grow stronger in their capacity to pay attention, contrast, and draw connections when they build towers out of blocks or sort shapes and colors. Physical development: Physical development is also important for children. In class, they will do activities like playing different musical instruments and singing different nursery rhythms. Children enjoy listening to the different sounds and they also enjoy dancing and singing along.
Language development: To help children improve their language development we will be having story time in class. When children are reading or listening to people read it helps improve their vocabulary. It is important to read books or even sing to your child. Emotional Development: To help children with their emotional development in the classroom. I will make sure there are plenty of toys and materials in the classroom to teach the students the value of sharing. I also will support my students with any help or care they may need even if it is just a hug when they are having a tough day. Children will go through emotions such as anger, crying, fear. It's important for children to know that they always have someone there for them. “The most beneficial type of research is play”- Albert Einstein We believe that the concept of play is most effectively put by Albert Einstein. Children actively discover, explore, and gain knowledge about the world around them when they play. They are always learning, establishing connections, and building the foundation for future learning through play. We recommend you set up playtime at home by bringing in toys with no boundaries, designing imaginative play areas, and performing games that are interactive. You are contributing to your child's mental development while encouraging a love of learning by doing this. We appreciate your continuous support and cooperation through your child's early learning adventure. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are having trouble integrating play into your everyday routines or if you have any questions. We would like to include you in our next email! Sincerely. Mrs. M
