1981 West Glamorgan County Council election The n election to Westward Glamorgan County Council and was held inwards Whitethorn 1981. It was preceded past the 1977 election and followed by the 1985 election. Candidates The Labor Party fielded candidates inward every ward. A significant ratio of seats were contested past the Conservativist Party and Plaid Cymru with fewer candidates fielded past the Liberal Party. A feature of the election was the number of Ratepayer candidates. In the Neath area, Labor contested all thirteen seats, with Plaid Wales running ix candidates. Result Labour retained their majority and regained some of the ground missed to Ratepayers quaternity days earlier. Results indicates posing councillor Ward Results Aberavon Eastward and Occident (three seats) Aberavon Northwards (one seat) Aberavon Southward (one seat) Brynmelyn (two seats) Castle (two seats)
