In situations of imminent danger where quick decisions are crucial, individuals might trust their intuition over empirical evidence. | can recall a situation years ago,l was walking home after a basketball game. It was dangerously dark outside and | wanted nothing more than to get home safe and sound. | was completing between taking a shortcut through a wooded area, however the moment | arrived at the entrance something in my gut said don’t go in there. | continued on the same routine and ended up running into a neighbor who was happy to help me get home. | believe | made the right choice considering | made it home quicker and in one piece. 6. During medical diagnoses, healthcare professionals often prioritize empirical evidence over intuition. For Example, when | was younger and | would go to the doctor for a wellness check up | would always be a little nervous about the information the doctor might give me. This anxious feeling would have my blood pressure above normal levels. Everytime | would go and get my blood levels measured the levels would be higher than normal but after several tests that would determine if | actually have high blood pressure the results are negative. 7.
