Divinity/GLST Event Report
Student’s Name: Jessica Morales
Class (Ex: CHMN 201, CLED 310, YOUT 220, GLST 200):
GLST200
Event Topic:
Truths
Date of Event:
2/10/23
Speaker: Dr. Trevor Wax
Please use this section of the report to summarize your notes and reflect what you learned (250 words):
The speaker of this confrence was is Dr. Trevor wax. The meaning of this conference is that every square
inch belongs to God. He's the God of all creation therefore every square inch belongs to him. In this
conference, I learned that the truth about God is what matters. We are responsible to pass on what we
know that is true. Every generation is tempted to downplay what we believe but we must hold on to
what we know is true. God's word tells us exactly what to believe so we may not fall short and that we
hold onto the truth. Jesus is for everyone, and it is important to show his truth so that it is revealed to
everyone. I also learned that we take the inclusivity of Christianity and hold it in isolation. We weaponize
this against other truths. Christianity's truth has been revealed to us in God's word and we can trust this.
We know that God is the God of truth, and the ultimate truth is irrepressible. God calls us to confess
these truths and we shall obey and not fall.
Lastly, I learned that our vision must be big enough to
see truths from multiple angles and to take everything the Bible is saying and teaching to see how truths
connect and how they uphold each other. We should keep our eyes wide open to take in the Christian
truth to see how God asked us to be.
Please use this section of the report to write one take-away or action as it relates to ministry/major or
your ministry/personal leadership: (This should be specific and measurable)

One take-away this report gave to me was that we need to hold on to what we believe and know God's
truth. So that we can go into the world and teach God's truth to other people.
