Thank you for sharing your beliefs and thoughts with me. I hope to continue the conversation with one another. Can I share my thoughts with you? I want to share why I believe in God. Thank you so much. I can tell you a testimony where my family and I witnessed a miracle, another reason I believe in God and the desire for goodness through morality. Hopefully, you will understand my points.
The way all this happened to me is nothing but a miracle and testimony to how good God is. My oldest brother is married and lives in Lansing, Michigan had a heart attack on the morning of January 9, 2023. He was living for work, and he collapsed in the living room. Thankfully, his wife (sister-in-law) was at home at the time. She had to start CPR on him until the ambulance came. My mom, second oldest brother, and I live in Illinois. We immediately all headed to Michigan. On the way there, my sister-in-law called my mother’s phone. My brother's heart had stopped again. My sister-in-law was beside herself. My mother took charge, not that we all were not praying before, but she took control and led us all in prayer, and thanks to God, his heart was restarted. It turns out my brother had an infection that created blood clots, which stopped his heart. This shows that my brother is a walking, talking miracle and how excellent and powerful God is. My brother was admitted to the hospital on that Monday, and he was released to go home that Saturday. Even his doctor was genuinely amazed at his miraculous recovery. Petter Kreeft (1994) stated, “If you believe that some extraordinary event is a miracle, then you believe in divine agency and such agency was at work. (Chapter 9). I know that Myers & Noebel (2015) say that “some find claims of miracles absurd, while others bristle at the very idea of supernatural authority” (p.33). I believe in miracles, and God can be the only one behind them; whether people choose to acknowledge him or not, it is their choice. Look at things like this; let us say, for example, anytime a victim being robbed at gunpoint can walk away with their life, that is a miracle right there.

I feel morality and the act of goodness are in all of us; whether we choose to invoke it is each person’s choice. It comes from God. The goodness in my heart comes from my faith in God. I was reading
a lecture, and it said, “We expect the secular world to address goodness and give of mankind’s internal pull toward it. However, when they do that, as Paul says, they reveal that the law of God is written on their hearts” (Session 3 Biblical Perspective, 2022). If God did not write morality on all our hearts, why do people who do not believe in him still desire goodness? If he does not exist, then should morality exist?
I hope I did not talk your ear off. I have appreciated this conversation. Thank you for allowing me to share my beliefs and facts. I hope you continue the conversation. I do not want to be, as Godawa (2009) said about filmmakers, “and promote a mixed bag of truth and error when dealing with faith” (p.236).
