2. Compare the case of Jain nonviolence to the second case on Confucian virtue. Do you think
there are more differences than similarities? Why or why not? Jain nonviolence associates ahimsa with large scale social issues such as civil rights, national security and nuclear warfare. They believe in the survival of the planet and human beings and not just the soul. Confucian virtue discusses the important idea of having perfectly high morals, which can only be achieved by god. These are two completely different cases. The Jian nonviolence case discusses ways in which they show high morals. The Confucian virtue cases discusses how having perfect high morals is almost impossible.
