Belief that people have freedom to make choices but there are no standards to guide these choices. The belief that engaging with
actual decisions people are making in life is more important than
an abstract speculation.
Knowledge and learning are about absorbing information and then integrating the
information into one’s personal perspective. If
logic is the sole basis for understanding
then it can lead to a lack of freedom in human experiences. Expresive and
creative experiences are emphasized and should not
be devalued by testing. Each individual has their own meaning in life and there is not one single correct perspective on
reality to compare to. Learners are responsible for their own destiny’s and are determnined by motives of their own understanding
. To lead leaders and remind them that they are in charge of their own destiny. Main Purpose is to focus on modifying and
growing themselves as individuals.
Giving students opportunities to make their own choices and reflect on themselves. A
self management system encouraged. Focuses on self and lacks responsibility being placed on others because it is so individually focused. Contemporary Educational Theories for Transmission
