Moral Minefield Assignment Guidelines For the following questions, be sure to connect to the reading material in your book. This is a writing assignment, so answers should be written in complete and coherent sentences and paragraphs. Answers in the A range will refer to the text and fully explain how the concepts learned in the text apply to the question. You may type your answers directly into this document after the prompts, save it, and then upload it into the submission box. Play through the Moral Minefield level for this week and answer the following questions: 1. Copy and paste (or screenshot) your Level overview and scores. You can find this information again in your Overview & Profile. 2. Reflect on the scenarios presented in the game. Was there anything you found particularly difficult? Anything that surprised you? When it came to the level on “Location,” I got a bit stuck. There were 3 choice options on this question and two of the response felt that they could be the right answer. I personally thought finding an alternative location would be the best solution in this case but it ended up not being the right answer. The answer, “conduct further test” did not cross my mind at all as being the correct answer.
3. Explain one of the decision-making scenarios you were given in this level and analyze it in terms of one of this week’s theories. (Note: for full credit, be sure you name the theory you are using, explain the theory fully, and then explain how the scenario illustrates that theory) One of the decision-making scenarios that I was given that stood out the most was in regards to the “Bad Press” scenario. It's critical to consider the possible consequences of focusing just on the good features of this scenario while examining it in light of the safety issues brought up in the article. In the short term, trying to draw the public's attention to good features might be beneficial, but in the long run, it might backfire. Ignoring valid safety concerns could cause Ulban to lose credibility and trust, which could be detrimental to Ulban's long-term reputation. To protect the product's overall integrity and the public's trust, a more thorough response that recognizes the concerns, expresses a commitment to looking into and resolving safety issues, and offers clear information would be a more sensible course of action. 4. How could you use the concepts discussed in this simulation in your job today? Relate these concepts to the other course materials and to your own experiences. (Note: for full credit, be sure discuss a specific scenario, a specific example from your own experiences, and a specific connection to something you learned from the text) I could use the information from todays simulation by knowing when it comes to making deals and proposes within another company, you must follow guidelines that have been told and been placed in a contract in order to avoid all legal issues. Prioritizing transparency and ethical marketing practices is crucial in response to the social media celebrity's suggestion to post testimonials for Ulban while demanding anonymity regarding her paid spokesperson role and demanding payment. It's critical to convey to the audience—while also honoring her right to privacy—the significance of revealing compensated relationships in order to uphold credibility and honesty. Proposing a middle ground, like utilizing succinct and unambiguous wording to reveal the collaboration without going into the financials, can help reconcile ethical norms with privacy protection. By taking this method, she guarantees that her followers will see her endorsement as genuine and forthright, which will enhance the testimonial's credibility and the product's reputation as a whole.
