Expressing Your Views Assessment A personal philosophy statement expresses your belief or perspective about a truth you hold dear. Drawing inspiration from other writers who have attempted to communicate their wisdom on life, nature, and the world, you'll craft your own personal philosophy paragraph. Your paragraph should include a clear claim supported with evidence one example of abductive, deductive, or inductive reasoning two rhetorical appeals (ethos, kairos, logos, or pathos) two rhetorical devices correct grammar, usage, and punctuation Audience Who are you speaking to?Anyone who is seeking to better understand my perspective on life and the world Purpose What do you want your statement to achieve? To share my personal philosophy and inspire others to consider their own beliefs and values. Claim What is your claim?I believe that every person has the ability to shape their own reality through their thoughts and actions. Our lives are a reflection of the energy we put out into the world, and we can attract positivity and abundance by cultivating a positive mindset and taking intentional action. This perspective is supported by the idea of the law of attraction, which suggests that like attracts like. When we focus on the positive, we attract more positivity into our lives. Personal Philosophy Statement Type your response here. Your personal philosophy statement should be at least 7-10 sentences in length. My personal philosophy is that growth and change are essential for living a fulfilling life. I believe that every experience, good or bad, presents an opportunity for personal growth and that we should embrace these experiences to become our best selves. This belief is supported by the teachings of great thinkers like Ralph Waldo Emerson, who emphasized the importance of self- reliance and individuality. I use deductive reasoning to arrive at this belief by reflecting on the experiences and changes that have shaped me thus far. Ethos and logos are the rhetorical appeals I incorporate, using my own credibility and logical reasoning to support my claim. I use metaphor and repetition as my chosen rhetorical devices, to convey the transformative power of growth and change. In living by this philosophy, I strive to approach life with an open mind and an unwavering commitment to personal revolution. Unless Otherwise Noted All Content © 2022 Florida Virtual School. Logical Reasoning How did you incorporate abductive, deductive, or inductive reasoning? I incorporated inductive reasoning by drawing on my own personal experiences and observations. Over the years, I have seen how my mindset and actions have influenced my life outcomes, and I have witnessed the same in others Rhetorical Appeals Which two rhetorical appeals did you incorporate?I incorporated ethos and logos. Ethos is present in my claim because I speak from personal experience and observation, which lends credibility to my argument. Logos is present in my claim because I draw on the concept of the law of attraction, which is a logical and evidence-based concept. How did they enhance your claim? Rhetorical Devices Which two rhetorical devices did you incorporate?I incorporated metaphor and repetition. I used the metaphor of shaping one's reality to illustrate the idea that we have the power to influence our lives. I also used repetition when I repeated the word "positive" to emphasize the importance of positivity in attracting abundance. Unless Otherwise Noted All Content © 2022 Florida Virtual School.
