What is the ethical dilemma in this situation? What are the facts? (100 Words) The ethical dilemma is striking
a balance between Jake's right to privacy and autonomy and any possible major health risks. On the one hand, Jake is an adult who, because of his mother's history of abuse and manipulation, has chosen not to tell her his location. However, the mother asserts that she knows vital health information regarding a genetic disorder that might have a serious effect on Jake's health. The social worker must balance taking into account Jake's autonomy and right to privacy regarding his whereabouts with the potential urgency and seriousness of the health information that could have an impact on Jake's life.

Who has the authority to make the decision? Who needs to be involved? (100 Words)
As an adult, Jake has the right to decide for himself what to do with his life, including telling his mother his whereabouts and whether to interact with her. However, it is imperative to involve a multidisciplinary team due to the potential health risks. This could involve a social worker, a medical practitioner, a lawyer, and potentially a mental health specialist. Collectively enabling a thorough evaluation of Jake's health while striking a balance between his well-being and the urgency of the health information. Jake's best interests should come first in the decision-making process, with ethical, legal, and health implications taken into account.

(100 Words per group member) Ethical dilemma’s are situations that conflict an individual moral principles and values making it more challenging to commit the right action, it is understood from the given case study how the social worker was put in a tough position because of Jake and his mother’s dysfunctional relationship. Ethical dilemma’s can put an individual in a lot of stress it is assured in the current situation the social worker would be experiencing a lot of distress from her position in the case.
