2 Research Report Website Guidelines Speaker Notes The Structure of the Research Report The structure of the research report involved an introduction ending with the thesis statement to show the author's position. The remaining parts of the research focused on applying spirituality regarding treatment for substance use to achieve sobriety. The research body focuses on how spirituality holds back or fails to lead one to sobriety even when adopted in the treatment process. Introduction Part The introduction is presented as a key research aspect which places the argument in its context with information on spirituality and the aspect of sobriety. It draws significant argument points regarding the various aspects of the research topic, their meanings, and how they affect each other. An interesting part of this introduction to the research was linking and discussing spirituality and religion ( Heinz et al., 2010) . The argument is that having spirituality does not necessarily mean that someone belongs to a particular religion. Conceptualizing the Key Aspects of Research The introduction of the research report is essential in giving the direction of the paper. The substantial part of this section focused on putting the argument in perspective for the author to take a position. Investigations related spirituality to some spiritual power that includes God, the Universe, or anything else, including other entity that facilitates one achieving peace and helping guidance in life. The report's position agrees on the need to integrate voluntary spiritual discussion into the treatment of drug abusers.
3 Thesis Statement Part The author's position is presented in the thesis statement agreeing that when spirituality is integrated into treatment for people who are addicted to drugs, especially alcohol and other drugs, it helps them gain sobriety ( Heinz et al., 2010) . The author supported this position by the research findings to show that it is a true reflection of what other researchers have found out. For example, prior studies show that when people practice spirituality, they are able to achieve physical health since they achieve self-care and love towards themselves ( Galanter et al., 2017) . It helps them develop compassion over themselves and others hence easily running through negative emotions to positivity. Ending the Research Report The conclusion forms the final part of the argument research report and is critical in collecting all the issues found about the topic. The author makes true the position for the readers to know where they stand regarding spirituality and sobriety. An argumentative research paper needs fairness in the author's judgment. Though many factors come into play to successful sobriety, the author's supporting research concludes the need to practice voluntary spirituality to facilitate addiction treatment.
