On the other hand, insufficient staffing levels have been associated with unfavorable outcomes, prescription errors, unsatisfied patients, and increased nursing burnout. For healthcare companies to make educated decisions about staffing policy and resource allocation, it is crucial to comprehend the relationship between nurse staffing levels and patient outcomes. Through a thorough evaluation of the body of data, this study intends to investigate how nurse staffing levels affect patient outcomes in acute care settings. PICO Question This study's PICO question was created to serve as its direction: Population: Patients in urgent care facilities Attention: Nurse staffing levels that are adequate Comparaison: Insufficient nurse staffing levels Outcomes: Patient outcomes, including death rates, complications, and satisfaction with care are outcomes. Time: The previous five years The research's scope is condensed to particularly explore the association between nurse staffing levels and patient outcomes in acute care settings utilizing the PICO question style. Literature Review

3 The relationship between nurse staffing levels and patient outcomes has been examined in numerous studies. In a global investigation, Aiken et al. (2018) discovered a strong correlation between higher nurse-to- patient ratios and lower patient mortality rates. Their findings highlighted the need of having enough staff to guarantee patient safety and successful outcomes. A systematic review and meta-analysis of research exploring the connection between nurse staffing and patient outcomes was carried out by Kane et al. (2018). Higher nurse staffing levels were linked, according to their data, to decreased rates of adverse events like falls, prescription mistakes, and hospital-acquired infections. These results emphasize the need of adequate staffing in minimizing avoidable patient harm. Kutney-Lee et al. (2019), a more recent study, looked at the effect of nurse staffing levels on patients' experiences with care. Their investigation showed a correlation between increasing patient satisfaction and better overall experiences and higher nurse staffing levels. Additionally, having enough employees ensures that patients receive attentive and flexible care, which contributes to great patient experiences. Conclusion In conclusion, research on how nurse staffing levels affect patient outcomes in acute care settings confirms the critical need of having enough staff to guarantee high-quality care and favorable patient outcomes. The research shows that in order to maximize patient safety, improve patient experiences, and raise overall quality of care, healthcare companies must prioritize the right nurse staffing levels. The knowledge that nurse staffing is a crucial element impacting patient outcomes should serve as a guide for policy decisions and resource allocation.
