Advanced Care Planning and Analysis We are going over Palin's comment and its implications in this week's debate. When Sarah Palin made her remark on Facebook, her preferred social media platform. I think he realized this was a tactic to get attention. A few weeks after resigning from her job as governor, she wrote this. She utilized Facebook since it allowed her to reach a large audience. Republicans and Democrats have always had different viewpoints. Palin's remark just served to highlight it. I think her comments were made purely for shock value. That's exactly what she did (Farber, 2009). In an article published on CBS News, the author "10 Health Care Reform Myths" investigated whether H.R. 3200 requires or promotes euthanasia or "death panels," and she came to the conclusion that the bill includes a provision that would allow Medicare to pay for the first time for patient-doctor consultations regarding end-of-life planning. This is not the same as an Obama "death panel" that would determine whether the Down syndrome baby of former Governor Palin is "worthy of health care." Palin twisted the mandate's language to suggest that the government supported euthanasia or limited care for those with disabilities. The strategies Palin employed were needless and dishonest. She is engaging in unethical scaremongering, and her campaign has employed similar strategies (Farber, 2009). My opinions, formed throughout my upbringing in the Northeast, aligned with the region's general agreement to support the Democratic Party. I truly didn't understand the Republican stance and beliefs until I relocated to Florida. When I think back on both parties, there are aspects of each that I appreciate. In addition, I have voted against my party because I disagreed with the candidate. I also realize that since I became a nurse, my priorities have changed to wanting what best for the patients I look after. I makes an effort to stay up to date on news, events, and how they impact us. I also try to think rationally and avoid putting myself in a
biased situation. I weigh the pros and cons before making a decision about a given topic. When I speak with patients and their families, I make sure to engage them in the conversation in order to learn more about them (Farber, 2009). I am aware that my position may be perceived differently than that of someone who, say, is a plumber. I'm not saying that plumbers lack knowledge about healthcare; I'm just stating how people view us as an important source of information regarding healthcare. It is the right of nurses to participate in legislative planning. By contacting their state senators and representatives, nurses may take part in patient advocacy. Endorsing legislation turns endorsing it into a personal ethical dilemma for each nurse. Both the good and the bad aspects of the American Health Care Act ( AHCA) require improvement. The Affordable Care Act (ACA), while revolutionary and inspiring in its day, was not without flaws, in my opinion. However, if politicians and people work together, we could finally come up with a solution that benefits everyone (Yu, 2020) . References Farber, D. (2009, August 08).
