I have reviewed your TLN Part A and B. I have marked both of these assignments as incomplete because there are gaps in your assignment. The assignments are asking for physically findings related to your patient. These findings should be included in your assignment and are based on your assessment of the patient. You were also to include information that you gathered from the patients chart (this was included in the active orders and notes sections we reviewed). Part A should include the findings that answer each of the areas included under the subheadings. For example, under activity and exercise pattern where it says chest auscultation, you would include your findings for this particular patient. This needs to be reviewed in each area. The influencing factors needs to relate to the particular area of discussion. If the patient is experiencing pain, what is causing it? What is the influencing factor? Part B include some of the physical findings but a majority of the information is gathered from the chart and from your own critical thinking. In the first section knowing the clients medical condition, it asks you to describe the patients diagnosis, the clinical course, pathophysiology, and treatments (including medication). The assignment uses questions to prompt your thinking and answers. Please follow the assignment in answering each area. We can review this assignment further tomorrow to ensure complete understanding of the requirements. Great job on the TLN Part C. You were able to reflect on a situation that often causes students to become nervous. As you care for patients that can be behavioural, you will become more confident in dealing with these situations and also recognize the different approaches you can take. Always remember that if a patient is behavioural, you are encouraged to use a buddy system as a safety precaution!
