Topic 9 DQ 2 Evidence-based practice (EBP) must be improved and promoted to provide sustained, high-quality healthcare. Using EBP entails combining the best available data with the clinic's expertise and the patient's characteristics to get the greatest results for their well-being; this is the main strategy for supporting nursing practice. Through evidence-based practice, nurses play a crucial role in establishing and delivering high-quality healthcare (EBP). Lack of organizational commitment to the change is one possible obstacle to maintaining the desired effects of an EBP change plan (Sharplin et al., 2019). A practice change will only be sustained over time if it is ingrained in the organizational culture. Organizations should develop a written strategy for implementation, as well as continuing assessment and assistance, to get over this barrier. This plan should have specific objectives, timetables, assessment criteria, and a structure for supplying resources, advice, and feedback to the people in charge of carrying it out. It should also stress how crucial it is to integrate the change into the organization's basic principles, for example, by maintaining open lines of communication and offering rewards to individuals who show dedication to the change. Lack of adequate resources to assist with the implementation is another possible hurdle to maintaining the desired effects of my EBP reform suggestion six months to a year from now (Alatawi et al., 2019). To ensure the successful deployment and continuous support of EBP, resources, including personnel, technology, training, and money, are crucial. Nurses follow hospital protocols, literature, and recommendations. With all of that, they can apply evidence- based practice. To solve this barrier, one needs to work with stakeholders to identify current resources that may be used to assist the implementation, negotiate for additional resources if
necessary, and create a strategy to distribute and manage resources throughout the project in order to overcome this problem.
