THE MYTHS OR RUMORS ABOUT COVID-19
Even though COVID-19 has been around for about 3 years, significant concerns regarding its transmission, immunity, and impact are still being investigated. Researchers are actively working to understand and treat the virus.
Since vaccinations are now widely accessible and there are hundreds of more coronavirus vaccines being
developed, our understanding of the disease and the virus is expanding quickly. Nevertheless, a number of falsehoods about the disease continue to be spread while the virus continues to endanger millions of lives around the world, creating a "pandemic of disinformation" that diverts attention from trustworthy public health advice.
Like any disease, the better we understand it, the easier it will be to stop and stop the spread. What is therefore true, what is false, and what is still up for debate? Here are six widespread misunderstandings concerning COVID-19. (2021, Project Hope)
Worldwide, Covid-19 is a deadly contagious illness. Records indicate that approximately 6.2 million people have died, and 504 million people have been infected globally to date. On January 30, 2020, the outbreak of the coronavirus disease was deemed a public health emergency of global concern.
The following are some common misconceptions about COVID 19:
In a lab, certain organizations or governments created the illness Covid-19 in order to reduce global population.
The COVID 19 sample collection masks and swabs were dangerously infected with the virus by the supplier.
The vaccine poses a risk.
If you've already contracted the virus, you don't need the vaccine.
Infertility is caused by immunizations.
You will transform into a zombie if you receive the shot.
The tracking chip will be given to you if you have an injection.
Children cannot spread the disease.
Why We know COVID-19 doesn't cause long-term damage.
By allowing the virus to propagate within the community, we can create herd immunity.
Because these tales were spread by well-known individuals, religious figures, many people believed them. Social media helped spread these stories all over the world like wildfire.
The impact that these rumors have had on medical professionals' ability to effectively treat or prevent the disease is that many people take the disease lightly; they are not donning masks, washing their hands as advised by the WHO, avoiding crowded areas, or injecting the vaccine. To make matters worse,
they are also choosing to treat themselves at home rather than seeking medical attention when they become ill. Unfortunately, this has a negative effect on patients' or the general public's health, resulting in a large number of infections and fatalities.
I'm developing a campaign to raise awareness with the slogan (covid-19 kills, choose to get vaccinated). It's crucial to spread knowledge and educate people in order to combat these harmful viruses.
The most effective strategy I'll employ is outdoor billboard advertising, which will be shown on the sides of roads, in sports arenas, and on transportation vehicles like trains, buses, and taxis. The image should be of a notable individual, such as a well-known athlete, politician, or artist. The post should have important information and be large enough to be visible from a distance.
