Join Us for the Health Fair at the Community Center Please join us for our first ever Bradford County Health Fair! This will consist of multiple booths to help teach and encourage our young students about the importance of health and safety. Joining us will be our very own Bradford County Pediatrics, Bradford County Fire Department, Bradford County Police Department, Local Farmers, Bradford school teachers, as well as our very own mayor, and many more. Bradford County Fairgrounds 2300 N Temple Ave, Starke, FL 32091 Saturday May 27 th , 2023 11:00 AM – 3 PM We hope to see many of the students and their families there.

Information On Each Booth There will also be other games for kids to play. Booth 1 Bradford County Pediatrics This can provide a doctor’s checkup. This booth will provide a fun and engaging way to learn about doctors, so they are not afraid. Booth 2 Local Farmer This booth will provide many different fruits and vegetables for the kids to try and even take some home with them. Booth 3 Bradford County Fire Department Teaching fire safety and when to use the STOP, DROP and ROLL method. Booth 4 Bradford County Pediatrics Dentistry Help teach the kids about brushing teeth and the importance and be given a new toothbrush. Booth 5 Bradford County Police Department Provide a stranger danger activity and who to call when there’s an emergency. Booth 6 Bradford County School Teachers Teach them real life scenarios through dramatic play with different toys. Booth 7 The mayor Talk to the children and teach them the importance of school and safety in the community. Community Fair Booths

Reflection Having events like this for families with young children encourages them to continue these health and safety practices within their families inside of their homes. This can show that other kids their age are doing the same activities and encourage them more to complete these lifestyle changes while also showing the parents how easy it can be to make those switches. Many of these organizations go unnoticed by the people in the community so having fairs like this one can help bring everyone in the community closer. This can also help show the families that these organizations can benefit them in other ways as well. Since living in a poorer county many families feel as if they cannot provide the kids with experiences like this so having free events like this can help show the parents, we are trying every way possible to be here for the kids in every aspect. This can help the parents learn new things and ask questions they need about safety and health. This can help the new parents or even veteran parents on new ideas when it comes to picky eater or just advice on health concerns. This follows the Christian worldview by helping each other when others need help. When the community helps each other for good like the health and safety of the young children in the community it can help. I included booths that would help and promote the health and safety of the students and help the parents learn new ideas on things that they may not have known otherwise.
