In Deaf culture a group people who is lacking of hearing normally use
the special sign language to communicate among themselves with
constant eye contact. This group of people try to live together and

discrimination in every aspect of life. 3. A. Explain what you have learned will influence your practice as an ECE. (i.e.: what kinds of things will you be mindful in your
Work as an ECE?)
ECE should ensure a sound and comfortable environment for children so that they can easily communicate with others and learn everything
in effective way. When I will be working as ECE, I will need to concentrate on the following points :
- I will have to learn basic sign language and lip reading in order to successfully communicate with Deaf children and families.
-
I will have to provide an inclusive learning environment
-
I will have to provide clues with written text. These pictorial clues can help
children to learn class routine and what to expect such as toilet routine, tidy up, washing hands, hanging bags etc.
-
I will have to post sign language on the wall in order to create a sense of belonging in Children.
B. Provide a detailed
example of how you would implement into practice what you have learned/know about Deaf culture and experiences shared
within the documentary.
