Questions:
N/A since no questions were given.
Example Grading Rubric
Report is complete and submitted on time 20%
Data collected was reasonable/not screwed up
30%
3 reasonable sources of error were listed 10%
Data analysis and questions done/answered correctly

Notes on the graph
Use as much of the sheet of graph paper as possible for the data points.
Time (t) is on the x-axis, Distance (d) is on the y-axis (d vs. t).
Include axis labels and graph title.
Make a best-fit line that goes through the middle of the data. The best-fit line does not have to go through the origin.
Do not use data points to calculate slope. Use points on the best-fit line.
Circle the points you used to calculate the slope.
Other notes
Do not write on both sides of the lab report. Use 2 sheets of paper.
Clearly label the sections. Be neat!
Distance on y
Time on x Do not use data points

You are a biomedical engineer working for a small orthopaedic firm that fabricates rectangular shaped fracture
fixation plates from titanium alloy (model = "Ti Fix-It") materials. A recent clinical report documents some problems with the plates
implanted into fractured limbs. Specifically, some plates have become permanently bent while patients are in rehab and doing partial
weight bearing activities.
Your boss asks you to review the technical report that was generated by the previous test engineer (whose job you now have!) and used to
verify the design. The brief report states the following... "Ti Fix-It plates were manufactured from Ti-6Al-4V (grade 5) and machined into
solid 150 mm long beams with a 4 mm thick and 15 mm wide cross section. Each Ti Fix-It plate was loaded in equilibrium in a 4-point bending
test (set-up configuration is provided in drawing below), with an applied load of 1000N. The maximum stress in this set-up was less than the
yield stress for the Ti-6Al-4V…

Hi I need help to make the line change into a different color, I half of the line to be orange and I need the other half of the line towards the end to be purple as shown in the picture. Also I need there be a box saying Diesel, petrol, diesel best fit, petrol best fit. This part is also shown in the graph.
Please use this code and fix it in MATLAB:
% Sample data for Diesel and Petrol cars
carPosition = linspace(1, 60, 50); % Assumed positions of cars
% Fix the random seed for reproducibility
rng(50);
% Assumed positions of cars
CO2Diesel = 25 + 5*cos(carPosition/60*2*pi) + randn(1, 50)*5; % Random data for Diesel
CO2Petrol = 20 + 5*sin(carPosition/60*2*pi) + randn(1, 50)*5; % Random data for Petrol
% Fit polynomial curves
pDiesel = polyfit(carPosition, CO2Diesel, 3);
pPetrol = polyfit(carPosition, CO2Petrol, 3);
% Generate points for best fit lines
fitDiesel = polyval(pDiesel, carPosition);
fitPetrol = polyval(pPetrol, carPosition);

I was going over the equations for the notes in class and I had a thought. Based on the equations in the image, you could get negative propellant mass. So, I coded it in matlab and I got negative mass. How is that possible? I think I used practical values for the velocity and mass ratio and so on. Did I do something wrong?

Learning Goal:
To understand the concept of moment of a force and how to calculate it using a scalar
formulation.
The magnitude of the moment of a force with a magnitude F around a point O is defined
as follows:Mo = Fdwhere d is the force's moment arm. The moment arm is the
perpendicular distance from the axis at point O to the force's line of action.

Part A
A stool at a restaurant is anchored to the floor. When a customer is in the process of sitting down, a horizontal force with magnitude F₁ is exerted at the top of the stool support as shown in the figure. (Figure 1)
When the customer is seated, a vertical force with magnitude F2 is exerted on the stool support. If the maximum moment magnitude that the stool support can sustain about point A is M₁ = 140 lb-ft, what is the
maximum height do that the stool can have if the magnitudes of the two forces are F₁ = 65.0 lb and F₂ = 140 lb ? Assume that moments acting counterclockwise about point A are positive whereas…
