I am happy with the progress I made form the pre-assessment to the midterm, because after taking a 2-year gap between my undergrad and postgrad it showed that I still had what it takes to be a successful student. The midterm was also based on 8 weeks of information form the course, but at the time of the test we have only reviewed 4 weeks’ worth of the material so, to be able to test well above 50% made me happy as a student and as a test taker to be able to use deductive reasoning for the questions I had yet to learn. The progress I have made form the beginning of this course to the midterm have shown success in understanding the terms and concepts of this course. I saw a great improvement form
Signature Assignment my pre-assessment to my midterm, my score jumped from 23.08% to 88.46% in the span of 4 weeks. I think my studying method of reviewing my SAFMEDS decks at least 10-15 minutes a day, and reading the required reading for this course has proven successful in learning the terms and concepts of this course. Regarding my SAFMEDS data I have been meeting AIM for each deck since week 1, proving that my method of studying has been successful and saw that with each week my accel keeps increasing. Mid-Term Assessment to Final Exam I received a 23/26 or 88.46% on my final exam for this course. I am happy with the score I got; I just wish it was an improvement from my midterm score instead of it being the same score. To be fair, I did study a lot more for my midterm as opposed to my final exam, thus proving I deserved the score that I got. I found the final exam to be very similar to the midterm so in a sense I felt very confident that I would do better. Regarding the improvement, I saw in my SAFMEDS data form the midterm to the final have been at an upward trend, while maintaining AIM between deck 2 and 3. I originally found deck 3 to be more difficult to learn than the 2 previous decks, the main reason being the terms were a lot more tedious to learn. Personally, I was juggling a lot during the last 2 weeks of this course show slight variability in my SAFFMEDS accel data. In conclusion, my methods of learning throughout this course have been successful because I got a passing score n my final exam for this class. Future Goals Mt goals for future courses will be to maintain AIM in SAFMEDS data for each week and each deck. I will continue to use the same studying method for this course for future courses regarding SAFMEDS data. Another goal of mine is to maintain discipline throughout the course
Signature Assignment when it comes to making sure I do not procrastinate on assignments. I think throughout this course I did a good job maintaining discipline and I hope that I continue with this trend throughout my future courses at National University. My last goal will be to maintain a self-care routine while I juggle school, work, and my social life; I think its an important goal to have to prevent burnout. Component #2: Data Analysis and Interventions Implemented Baseline Based on my baseline/pre-assessment evaluation score of 6/26 or 23.08%, my initial goal was to raise my baseline score by the midterm. I developed my method of studying by setting time to study the SAFMEDS decks as well as read the required readings for the course. I figured that if I applied myself to studying and as well giving myself enough time to take breaks form studying it will further help me in the long run as well as prevent burnout. My initial goal was to learn the required information and store it in my long-term memory because I knew the information, I learned from this course would not only help me in future courses, but as well as my BCBA exam. Intervention and Adjustments I implemented studying time by using the SAFMEDS studying as well as Quizlet. When I was learning a new deck for the course, I would find an already made Quizlet page with the terms for that deck and used the features that website offered. The features offered on Quizlet were learn, match, flashcards, and test. On day 1 of a new deck and after taking baseline data I would spend 20-30 minutes using the learn feature and making sure I altered the features for long-term memory retention. After learning the deck, I would switch over to the matching feature to further study and visualize which terms and definitions matched together. Lastly, I would use

Signature Assignment the test feature and alter it so that I had to type the terms because I felt that it helped me retain the terms in my long-term memory as opposed to multiple choice where I can use the process of elimination to find the answer. I would study the deck for that week for at least 10-15 minutes for 5 days using the SAFMEDS study guide feature. I would read aloud the definition and say the correct term before checking my answer and moving on to the next term. For the terms that I kept getting confused on, such as mythological behaviorism and radical behaviorism, I would write the term and definition 5 times on a piece of paper to further help me study and differentiate between the two terms. I only studied for 5 days because I felt that if I did not give myself enough time away from studying, I would suffer from burn out, also how much information can you retain if you never give your brain a break to soak in the new information. I kept this method of studying for this entire course because it has proven to be successful by reaching AIM on my SAFMEDS decks throughout this entire course. I have maintained my accel score above 14 for all 8 weeks of this course using the studying method I mentioned before and did not feel the need to adjust because it has proven to meet the goal. I only ran 5 timings a day as what was required of this course, as I did not feel the need to run more timings if by the 5 th timing, I was showing improvement in my accel score, showing a positive trend on my SAFMEDS graphs. These studying methods have influenced my way of studying for terms not only for this course, but for future ABA courses I will take as a student here at National University. Data Collection After running my 5 timings for the day, after my fifth timing I would plot my accel and decel points on a standard celebration chart. I found that it was easier to plot the points at the end
Signature Assignment of the 5 th timing because it helped me to analyze the upward trend of my data and allow me to see if any interventions needed to be made to reach AIM for that week. For all 8 weeks my SCC was being tracked with an upward trend with meeting AIM by day 2 or 3 at the start of a new deck. I have been meeting AIM for each deck since week 1 of this course, my lowest accel point for a week being 14 which was the goal set for this class. I found that by studying only 10-15 minutes a day really helped me to stay focused because it is such a short period of time. After studying for 10-15 minutes, I would then run my first timing of the day, and if my score was above AIM then I would continue to my next timing. If my timing was below AIM I would then go back to flashcards provided by SAFMEDS and go through the entire deck 3 times while reading everything aloud. Once I complete that I go back to running my required timings for that day. Usually once I have reached proficiency in my deck knowledge I try to attempt to go faster through the deck. The reason why I aim for speed once I have learned the deck is to ensure I am reaching AIM in the 30 seconds that is allotted for the given timing. Goals I can confidently say that I have met the goals that I have set form the beginning of this course. After reviewing my baseline data for this course, I knew that I had to apply myself back into being a student and managing my time to manage the different aspects this course requires as well as what is required of me of my personal and professional life. The interventions I had stated that I would use for this course have remained the same and have proven to be effective especially in my SAFMEDS accel scores. My main goal was to be able to acclimate myself back into student life while juggling both my professional and personal life; I can confidently say that
Signature Assignment I achieved that goal through time management skills and holding myself accountable for my assignments. Next Steps My next course goals will be to maintain my discipline and time management skills I used throughout this course for future classes. Based on my baseline data I did not remember or have the knowledge of this field prior to taking the class, but for future courses I intend to use the knowledge of this class to use deductive reasoning for my next baseline data. Based on my data collection for this course, time management will always be a goal for me in this kind of online classes, because it is easy to fall behind or procrastinate in virtual learning. The second goal that I successfully accomplished was by not only getting a good grade in this course but being able to take what I have learned from this course and be able to apply it to my professional life. One thing I would change is to make sure I prevent procrastination, because towards the end of this course I was procrastinating a lot due to many events happening in my personal life. A goal would be to hold myself more accountable of my actions and reinforce myself positively once I reached my desired goal for the week. For example, if I know I have a busy weekend with many social events planned I want to hold myself accountable to finishing my work within the work week to reward myself by having a fun school-free weekend. Overall, I think the method I am currently using to learn and grasp information has shown success and will continue to use it for future courses and alter it when it is needed.
