TOPIC CHOICES
(choose one or the other):
1. Opposition to US Foreign Policy: a View from Another Perspective. If you choose this
option, your paper will examine a person or group who has opposed the United States and its
foreign policy at some point since 1945. Your paper will explain the US policy or action in
question and why your chosen person or group opposed it. Your thesis will be your argument
as to why this person or group was or was not successful in opposing the United States.
2. Grading a President. If you chose this option, you will examine the major foreign policy
initiatives of one presidential administration since 1945. You will evaluate the success and/or
failure of this President’s foreign policy, and assign it a grade based on your research and
evaluation. You will develop an argument that justifies the grade you assign.
