How can science and mathematics be connected to enhance knowledge and skills in both subjects? Provide a specific example you can use in your future classroom.
Both science and mathematics are connected in multiple ways; they enhance knowledge and skills in both subjects. One way science and mathematics are connected is that mathematics can be used in science to organize and analyze data in tables and graphs. Another way science and mathematics are connected is that mathematics concepts can be integrated into science to make learners see the shared concepts and factors in meaningful and enriched ways (Roehrig et.al, 2021).
Another reason why both science and mathematics are connected is that those who are good at science do have some basic concepts of math. This is so because there are many simple mathematical equations used for different science experiments. Furthermore, the more a student works in science the better they will be at doing mathematics (Roehrig et.al, 2021). Keeping in mind all these, there is a need for teachers to make sure they integrate mathematical
concepts in science classes.
