Appropriateness of T-Procedures:
For the paired data scenario, the appropriate procedure would be the paired-sample t-test. This test is used when there's a natural pairing between observations, such as before-and-after measurements on the same subjects. It assesses the difference between two related groups.
Conversely, the two-sample t-test is fitting for unpaired data, comparing the means of two independent groups. This test compares the means of two independent groups, assuming the data in each group are normally distributed and have equal variances.
