and answer the following.
How do you calculate the range of a dataset?
Maximum - minimum
Suppose that we’re working with a set whose minimum is 20.3 and whose maximum is 79.4. What might be “nice” class intervals to work with?
80-20=60
Intervals= 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89
What is the formula for calculating class width?
Range/number of classes
If we’re not careful, we might allow for some values to be counted into multiple classes. How can we avoid that?
By changing the endpoints by rounding up or down depending on the situation.

and answer the following.
Mr. Terrill made sure to highlight only the data we wanted to graph. Why should we do that?
If we highlight everything, then excel will graph all the data and mess up our graph
What should always be on the vertical axis of a histogram?
A head count (number of data points in each class)
What should always be on the horizontal axis of a histogram?
Class widths
Mr. Terrill states that no graph is complete without two things. One was putting insightful labels on the axes. What was the other thing?
An insightful title
