Unit 1 Assignment-Adams Components 2 Business Proposal I. What is the brand name of your for-profit business/organization? a. The brand name of the business will be Adams Components. II. What is the new product, not currently in existence, which will generate revenue for which you will prepare a marketing plan and strategy during this class? Give the product a name and briefly describe it. a. The new product that will generate revenue for Adam’s Components will be an intimate body wash formulated for men. The name of the intimate body wash will be called Adam’s Components intimate body wash. Intimate wash is usually steered towards women, but it is equally important for men. The body wash will contain natural ingredients that will help men to sustain a healthy PH balance and maintain healthy hygiene. This will help men be less prone to bacterial infections and diseases. The natural ingredients in this product will include tea tree oil, aloe vera, chamomile, witch hazel, and calendula. This product will be paraben and sulfate free. This product will be a brand extension from the parent company of Summer’s Eve. Summer’s Eve also has intimate wash. III. Look up “brand extension” in your Kotler text and describe whether your product is considered a line or a category extension. a. According to Kotler (2015), a brand extension is when a firm uses an established brand to introduce a new product. After carefully researching and reading Kotler’s definition of brand extension, the new product that will be developed will be considered a line extension. It will be considered a line extension due to Summer’s Eve already making intimate body wash. IV. How will you acquire information to prepare your marketing plan during this class? What research will you undertake? Be specific. a. Information for this marketing plan will be acquired through google scholar, natural ingredients that are good for intimate areas, the affects of healthy hygiene for men, research from Summer’s Eve will also be conducted to see how successful their brand has been, research about the success of men hygiene products will be conducted, and researching the success of marketing domestically and globally of hygiene products will also be conducted. V. Will your new product be marketed domestically or globally? Why? a. This product will be marketed both domestically first and gradually globally if there is success within the domestic marketing. It will be marketed in both locations because men are located both nationally and internationally. We will take our time into the global markets as this requires thorough research such as language barriers and assessing the culture. VI. Describe the key customer market (who are you targeting?). a. The target customers will be men. Men who also show special attention to grooming will also be included in this target audience. Again, this will be an intimate body wash that will contain natural ingredients that will help men sustain healthy hygiene and giving them a clean fresh feeling.
Unit 1 Assignment-Adams Components 3 Executive Summary Adams Components is a newly developed brand name men’s natural intimate wash. Adams Components is a brand line extension of Summer’s Eve intimate wash. This brand was designed and formulated as of November 5, 2023. We are focused on creating healthy hygiene products for men. We will start our journey with our first product called Adams Components intimate natural wash. Adams Components intimate wash is formulated with natural ingredients. The product will remain paraben-free and sulfate-free. This product is designed for men and particularly their intimate areas. The product will contain natural ingredients such as tea tree oil, aloe vera, chamomile, witch hazel, and calendula. These ingredients are all natural and will help to keep healthy hygiene within the intimate area. The product will benefit men and their personal hygiene. An intimate wash will help to maintain a healthy PH balance. Men also have a PH balance which should be maintained healthy. The product will also help men be less prone to infections and diseases when used appropriately. The target market of this product will include all men. Men nationally and internationally will be included also within this target audience. Men who also particularly show special attention to grooming will also be included in this target audience. Adams Components will make its customers not only feel better about their hygiene, but also give them a refreshing feeling. This intimate wash will also be budget friendly to our customers, so customers will not have to worry about excessive costs. This brand is also an extended brand line from our well-known parent company Summer’s Eve. Summer’s Eve has been around for quite some time so customers should feel that this product is of quality. Also, all ingredients that will be used in this intimate wash will be natural, so customers should feel safe using this wash in their intimate areas. Adam’s Components promises to provide new and improved products. Adams Components will be marketing on both a national and international level. We are marketing to all men. Marketing through social media, surveys, and research studies will also be conducted. We will first start off marketing domestically, but then gradually market globally if there is success within the domestic market. When marketing globally, we will make sure to assess all cultures and any language barriers.
