PharmaSim Case Discussion Company : What are our goals, and what measures will be used to determine if we are on track? What strengths and weaknesses do we see in our brand and organization? Ans: Our goals are to make sure that we are the market leader in our category of providing the best medicine Context : What environmental factors provide opportunities or limit our options? 1. Opportunities - Over 80% of the population suffered from cold related symptoms in the last year 2. Limits - Inflation is 3%, so we will have to increase the price of our medicine to match the market. . Collaborators : Who helps us create and deliver value? How do we motivate them to help us achieve our goals? 1. Independent drugstores 2. Chain drugstores 3. Grocery stores 4. Convience stores 5. Mass merchandisers To incentivize them to carry our product we can increase the commission they recieve from each sale and provide them with a bonus financial incentive to increase sales. Customers : What underlying needs are we trying to satisfy? What benefits do customers seek? Are there any trends/changes in these needs that we especially need to consider? Ans: Our customers are seeking a cure to their symptoms, they want to make sure that when they take our medicine, they trust that it will cure them. Competitors : Who do we see as our primary competitor(s)? What do we expect them to do, and how do we defend against those moves? Ans: Our main competitors are B&B HealthCare, Curall Pharmaceuticals, Driscol Corporation and Ethik Incorporated.
