PROJECT OUTLINE for Apple Barista 2 About Apple Barista Apple products like iPhones and MacBooks are frequently photographed alongside coffees and inside of cafes. Apple Barista is the next best coffee maker. What makes Apple Barista different is that you can activate it and schedule wakeup times right from your phone. You can even brew a cup of coffee by just asking Siri. Goals The goal and objective of Apple Barista is to give coffee lovers and Apple lovers the perfect combination. We all know how busy mornings can be, with Apple Barista it will enhance their morning cup of coffee with the use of technology and allowing syncing with consumers already owned apple products. Making a singular cup of coffee requires you to stop what you’re doing and focus on that one task, but from your phone you can have your cup of coffee be made with ease. Target Customer The target customer for Apple Barista would be their current customer base and new customers who enjoy their morning and/or afternoon cup of coffee. Apple’s current target customer is middle-class and upper-class users who can pay for higher end products with an incredible user experience (Simplilearn, 2023). This means these users have a higher disposable income, in addition to working professionals. Because Apple offers products to streamline work, enhance experience and offers software’s like music, video and photo their market carries over to large companies, college and even high school students, and working professionals. With this new product, the focus will be on those customers who are working hard on their careers, education and have disposable income with a love of coffee to ease their busy lives and create a unique user experience.
PROJECT OUTLINE for Apple Barista 3 Market Opportunity There is already a market for Apple products and easy to use coffee makers, Apple Barista will bridge the gap between these two markets. There are many coffee makers that are quick on-the-go like Keurig where you can make a single cup at a time (Keurig, n.d.); and there are coffee makers that offer you to make different styles of coffee (espresso, cappuccino, ice coffee, hot coffee and a milk frothier) like Ninja (NinjaKitchen, n.d.), but here there is nothing that lets you make a cup of coffee from your phone or voice activated. The two markets and Apples customer loyalty will help drive the initial success of Apple Barista. Future market opportunity will be driven by those customers who currently own coffee makers from other companies like Keurig and Ninja. Financial Opportunity Apple Inc., is well respected and established with innovative technology. The company’s financial performance is one of their strengths, showing a profitable first quarter of 20203 with $117.2 billion in revenue (Apple Newsroom, 2023). The launch of Apple Barista will help increase total revenue as this product aims to bridge two markets that’s have a high demand, technology and coffee consumers. Apple Barista will make the company more profitable with their competitive advantage of having a technology-based coffee machine. Timeline Apple excels in R&D; Apple designs and develops nearly all solutions for its products, including hardware, operating system, software applications and related services (Apple Inc, 2022). Apple regularly files patents, copyright, design and trademark applications to protect innovations emerging from its R&D. Following R&D, there should be considerations for production time, testing and time to refine the outcomes of testing.
