Question #1: When it comes to its effectiveness, the SWOT framework may be extremely important because it can provide a systematic approach to strategic planning. This will assist the company in evaluating the position they have within the market and identifying areas in which they can achieve a more competitive edge. It gives a great picture of how to grow and combat the competition. An example of how I would use specific marketing research to formulate a strategic plan for my current place of employment is to increase online sales by 20% over the next year on the hair supplement, Nutrafol, our leading product. The strategy would be to Increase online marketing and social media presence by 25% in the two quarters and then by 50% the last two quarters of the year. I would focus on Facebook and Instagram to promote and then track the volume of engagement. The marketing communication channels most useful in attracting buyers to the healthcare industry in my opinion would be radio and TV ads; along with billboards. Being seen amongst the community would boost the name and reputation. These ads may appear as banners or interstitial ads and can be targeted to specific audiences based on factors such as demographics and interests. “ Question #2: The most beneficial assignment I found helpful was Competency 2. It gave a good idea to what resources I had available that I was unaware of. If I didn’t have to do that assignment I would not have known how many local agencies had data listed on their websites that do. It allowed me a chance to really research data that is pertinent to my current role.
I feel like less intense assignments. More interactive ones like show a slide and answer questions off that. It would help with the grading process. As when it’s a class that you had to do towards the end and try to catch up, there is too big of a risk with the grading system.
