Kijara Belt Case Analysis 2 The Founders Values: The founders’ own values that they bring into the company to the (hopefully) help the company be successful. Part of Warby Parkers four founders core values are Innovation, social responsibility, Collaboration and Personal growth. For example, with social responsibility they want to positively impact the world through “ethical sourcing, sustainable practices, and giving back to the community” (Teal Labs). Another example with collaboration they find this to be a key to success by going with a “team-oriented approach that values open communication, feedback, and shared goals” (Teal Labs). Together with the other 2 core values, I believe that this element of their organizational culture is creating a positive perception of the company in the minds of stakeholders. The Organizations Vision and Strategy: A vision states what the organization aspires to become in the future, and the strategies are used to obtain that goal. At Warby Parker their vision is that want to demonstrate that a business can “scale, be profitable, and do good in the world – without charging a premium for it” (Warby Parker). They believe the way to do that is through empathy, creativity, and innovation. Another very successful strategy that was used is the “buy a Pair, Give a Pair” (VoyMedia) program, were for every pair that were sold they would donate one pair of eyeglasses. I think that this has made a positive impact on the company’s reputation in the minds of stakeholder. Not only because it plays on empathy, but also because eyewear affordability is something that a good amount of people struggle/deal with. Leaders Behavior: Traits and characteristics of leaders, that’s they use to help guide, direct, and influence the work of their team/business/company. The founder’s behavior came from a place of empathy and real life understanding on the difficulties or replacing and getting glasses that are affordable. They believe that “buying glasses should be easy and fun. It should leave you happy and good- looking, with money in your pocket” (Warby Parker). This strong sense of wanting to to do good towards the consumer I believe made a positive impact on the company in the eyes of the stake holders.
